Surfing Lessons:
La Jolla Surf Shop offers surf lessons 7 days per week in San Diego, CA.
Lessons are designed for all ages and abilities.
Lesson times: We do all times.
Please call for availability.
Equipment included: Lessons include use of a surfboard, wetsuit, and leash.
Duration: All lessons last for 1.5 hours and include the following three part lesson plan.
Part 1-Land Lesson/ 10 to 15 minutes as needed: Lessons start on the grass with 5 to 10 minutes of instruction and practice. Students learn techniques for paddling, standing, falling, dodging and selecting waves along with surfer’s etiquette, stretching and much more.
Part 2-Water Lesson/1 hour 10 min: After students have learned the techniques on land, we move into the ocean for a one hour ten minutes of guided surf instruction. During this time the instructor will push and coach students into waves, tell students what they are doing right, or wrong so they are surfing on their own by the end of the lesson.
Part 3-Independent Practice/ 15 minutes:

You may continue to use the rental equipment for a minimal charge
after your lesson time has ended.
Bring a towel, sun block and a swimsuit.
Type of Lesson:
Group Lesson: You provide a group of 4-6 students working with one of our instructors. $60.00 per person.
Semi-Private Lesson:- 2-3 students (you and a friend) working with one instructor. $65.00 per person.
Private Lesson:- 1 student working with one
instructor. $75.00 per person.
